We’re creating original goods by recycling flags (banners, streamers) used at festivals and local shopping streets, with the cooperation of welfare workshops and volunteer staff in Setagaya Ward. The finished goods are sold for charity during the festival, and the collected support funds are delivered to areas affected by the Great East Japan Earthquake. Through the festival, we aim to make this a project that sends energy to Setagaya Ward and Eastern Japan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Although this project now focuses on contributing to the local community and eco-friendly activities, it started with the idea of “Can we also cheer up people in the affected areas?” in response to the Great East Japan Earthquake in 2011. Since the project’s inception in 2011, the support funds received in exchange for recycled goods have been sent to the affected areas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    *Due to the end of Setagaya Ward’s “Great East Japan Earthquake Reconstruction Support Fund” on March 31, 2021, the support funds for 2024 sent to the “Noto Peninsula Earthquake Disaster Relief Fund”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
